Dear Prayer Team Member,

Psalm 34 reminds us that whatever trouble we face--sorrow, crushing circumstances, affliction, attacks of hatred, even death--God is near and is our Refuge and Redeemer.

Call to Prayer: "Christ holds the center!"

Psalm 34:16-22 (NASB)

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

The afflictions of the righteous are many,
But the Lord rescues him from them all.
He protects all his bones,
Not one of them is broken.
Evil will bring death to the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous will suffer for their guilt.
The Lord redeems the souls of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will suffer for their guilt.

2. Pray for the ECO (Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) Virtual Gathering that resulting initiatives will “recognize and honor the image of God in every human being from conception to natural death.” (Essential Tenets, p8, #6)
