Life Support Prayer Calendar

Dear Prayer Team Member,

Our biggest problem when it comes to caring for those that society devalues is ourselves. Our own wants, needs, and desires get in the way of true ministry. It is only when we stay focused on Christ, lifted up on the cross, that we are able to set aside our own needs and put first those that God has brought across our path expressly so that we may share Christ and they may believe.

John 8:28-30 (NIV)

So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him." Even as he spoke, many believed in him.

August 2-8, 2020

1. Pray for those who may be devalued by society: the elderly, those suffering from dementia, disability, and disease, the unborn, those with a terminal diagnosis, those who are helpless, dependent, mentally ill, addicted, or who have limited capacity.

2. Ask God to empower you to care for and minister to those society sees as least and to "always do what pleases him" in your relationships with each of these precious lives.
