Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. . ." Matthew 19:14.

This week as we begin the new May - August prayer calendar we focus on children, the importance of teaching them God's Word and passing on our faith to future generations--including those yet to be born. Psalm 78:5-7 (NIV)

He decreed statutes for Jacob

and established the law in Israel,

which he commanded our ancestors

to teach their children,

so the next generation would know them,

even the children yet to be born,

and they in turn would tell their children.

Then they would put their trust in God

and would not forget his deeds

but would keep his commands.

May 2-8, 2021

1. Pray asking God to assist us in teaching our children God’s statutes, his great love, mercy, and his grace in Jesus Christ.

2. Pray that God will protect the lives of those yet unborn so they will live to hear of God’s salvation and believe in Jesus, God’s Son, as their Savior.
