#Pray4PPL Look up! Help is coming!

Life Support Prayer Calendar

Dear Prayer Team Member,

This week we focus on prayer for those who are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed--which is perhaps most of us after the events of the last year. It is my hope that as you pray this week you, too will be refreshed and strengthened in spirit as you turn the eyes of your hearts upward in simple child-like reliance on God for his help each day.

Psalm 121 (NRSV)

I lift up my eyes to the hills—
   from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
   who made heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot be moved;
   he who keeps you will not slumber.
He who keeps Israel
   will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your keeper;
   the Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
   nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all evil;
   he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep your going out

    and your coming in
from this time on

    and forevermore.

1. Pray for rest and strength for medical providers who are exhausted by patient needs magnified by the pandemic. Pray for God’s protection in their marriages and their families.

2. Praise God who is the keeper of our lives, Who sustains our every breath, Who blesses our way and protects us from evil and who brings us safely home at the end of life to dwell in his presence forever.
